Jacob Sartorius

JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius was a Tulsa native. He was brought to Virginia for adoption after the parents suffered from illness and could not or were unwilling to take care of him. He was brought up at Reston, Virginia by his adoptive parents and at age seven, he began participating in musicals. It was there that was he discovered his passion for performing. Prior to the demise of Vine the American short-form online video-hosting service, in the year 2017, Sartorius lip-syncing videos posted on Vine gained more than eight million followers in August of 2016. Social media was his way of finding an escape after he was targeted and eventually was an innocent victim. In the past, he would say that before Musical.ly was launched, he wasn't exactly the most social. He was of the opinion that nobody would be watching except the camera.
